Vinted is an online marketplace where you can buy and sell apparel, accessories and footwear. It is fast becoming one of the most popular online selling platforms. Whether you’re looking to make a little extra money from your closet, or want to become a full-time seller, Vinted is a great way to make money online.
Here are 4 tips to help you get started and be successful on Vinted:
1. Choose your items wisely
The key to success on Vinted is to list only quality items. You want to offer items that are in good condition, free from any stains or signs of wear and tear. Check the size, style, and fabric of the item to make sure it is what you’re looking for. Consider taking pictures of the item before and after cleaning, so that the buyer can get an idea of the condition.
Pro Tip: Take photos in well lit areas to maximise the products views. Another tip is to take photos of the item before packing and when packed to make sure you can tell Vinted how you sent it if you have any issues when it arrives to the buyer.
2. Create a detailed listing
When creating your listing, be sure to provide as much information as possible. Take detailed photos of the item, and be sure to accurately list its brand, condition, size, fabric, etc. Also, be sure to clearly state if the item is new with tags, new with no tags or pre-owned.
The more information you provide, the easier it will be for potential buyers to find your items.
3. Offer a range of prices
Vinted allows you to set your own prices. It’s a good idea to experiment with different pricing strategies, such as offering discounts or bundle deals. Additionally, try to offer both high- and low-priced items to appeal to a wider range of shoppers.
4. Reply promptly to potential buyers
Responding quickly to inquiries is key to successful selling on Vinted. When someone contacts you about an item, be sure to reply promptly and politely. If the customer has any questions, answer them in detail and let them know what type of payment you accept. Always be polite and if you have anyone be rude to you / abusive etc then do block them and report them to Vinted. Vinted do not accept people being abusive or getting multiple accounts to get deals / offers.
5. Fill Out Your Bio / About Me / Have A Profile Photo
This isn’t key to selling but I have found having a filled out by oh really helps and especially when you need to stay if you accept returns and any other key information you think your buyers need to know about you. Example of this is that I have in my bio that I sent every only and that I do not accept returns unless we have a previously agreed. To me this is important because some people cannot get every where they live so they would need to speak to me about a different posting option but this isn’t something I usually have set up
Selling on Vinted is a great way to make some extra cash. With these tips, you’ll be able to have a successful selling experience.
Good luck!
